So I came home from work today and while waiting for Cory to wake up I did some more work on my Heartscape Designs logo. Here are two that I came up with...what do you think?

Yeah for Cory! He has blogged three times since last Monday!!! Yeah sweetie!! See you CAN do it!! Even when you have a rough shift!

Now onto the headache part. So I decided to wear a headband today. I haven't worn this headband before so it hasn't exactly been 'worked out' yet. It is squeezing the life out of my huge brain and now I have a headache. But I can't very well take it off, cause then my hair will look pushed back without a headband and that's not cool. EHHHHH!!! Oh well.

I spoke with my BABY Nurse yesterday, Sonya. (She is amazing by the way. She makes up for the docs kinda quiet and dry bedside manner) Anyways, she has ordered my medicine and I will be going in to see them sometime around the 26th-27th. So I am excited...yipps. Cory on the other hand is not super excited. I mean he wants a baby, but pretty much up until now I have been having to do all the hard work...and by hard work I mean...surgeries, procedures, sonograms, bloodwork, traveling to Baltimore in the morning before work and being poked and prodded. Well now he has to be poked and prodded a bit. And he's not liking it! :) haha. I am not laughing AT you baby...just at your reaction. It's like a kid that doesn't want to go to the dentist! But you will survive...and you will be doing your part for a healthy baby too! :) So...more prayers please! :)

I have been looking at ways to spruce up and excite my home business. Starting back in the summer of 06, I decided to look into becoming a custom scrapbook and memory designer. I set up my business model, gave it a name, Heartscape Designs and to date have completed three projects for three customers. I have one customer now that I am awaiting pictures from...(Melissa!!) I am eager to work on her wedding scrapbook! I would say since earlier this year I have kind of let this settle and worked on some other projects.

Well, I am gearing up again and here are just a few of the things I am excited about offering:
- Scrapbooking: 12 x 12, 8 1/2 x 11, 8 x 8, 6 x 6 Albums with pictures/Premade (Baby, First Year)
- Postcards, Note Cards, Thank You Cards, Invites, Announcements, Labels, Business Cards, etc. (Digitally created and printed)
- Blog Extras - Headers, Footers, Title Boxes (premade or especially designed)
- Frames, Shadow Boxes & Tins

I am looking for some 'test' customers. This would be at no cost to you...but I am looking for some people that would be willing to let me use some of thier pictures and basically set up a 'mock' project to use for my portfolio and website as samples. Here are the areas that I need testers:
1. Baby Announcements (if you have some sweet pics of the little ones with thier birth info and name)
2. Graduation Announcements (have a family member that has graduation and have a pic of them and the date)
3. Baby's First Year Scrapbook (I am gearing up to make a baby's first year scrapbook, looking for a boy and a girl with pictures from newborn up to 12 months)
4. Other: anything you wish to try.

Each tester will get a copy (for free, if it is a scrapbook, this does not include the album) and I will use the project as a sample for my business. I would love it if anyone would be interested. So just let me know and that would be a HUGE help to me!!!! Oh and of course if you are willing to be an actual customer and you have a project that you would like completed I am available as well. 1...2...3 Side Jobs.

So I am eager to share with you how my 1....2....3....3rd business is going! haha! (I am growing an entrepreneurial split personality!)

Well, first let me tell you (for those that don't know) about my other side jobs.

#1 - I have been an Independent Stampin' Up Consultant for about 3 years now. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Although lately finding customers has become harder. I know that economic times are hard, but I still have my faithful few Scrapbook and Card Maker friends that come to my monthly Club and enjoy purchasing the wonderful products from me. If you are interested, just let me know!!! I would love to show you the products and even get you as hooked as I am on scrapbooking and more!!

#2 - About a year and a half ago I started another side job - Heartscape Designs. It is custom Scrapbooking and Memory Preservation. So far I have had 4 clients and I love doing this, because it is scrapbooking and that is most definitely my hobby! I hope to pick up and start advertising this business more after the summer...when things in my schedule start to die down. However I am available now if you are interested! and finally my last side business...job...whatever.

#3 - eSlick Sells on eBay. Now come on...you gotta admit that's a creative name! haha! Ok I was way more amused than anyone else about the name for this third attempt at extra income! :) Anywho, this business is I think doing the best out of all three for the moment. Currently I have 2 active clients with another one on the way (thanks Terri!)...as well as anything I sell personally on eBay. It is a pretty good system that I am proud of and I am thoroughly organized. If you are interested in hearing more about this, just contact me today! I am hoping to increase clients with these businesses and work hard at all three to get myself set up to still earn some extra income even after we have children!! I am quite proud of myself so far and I am eager to see where it all leads.

Well, I just updated my Custom Scrapbooking business site. It still seems cheesy to me, but I guess that is the best I am going to get until I can afford to pay to host my my own domain and maybe get some nice software to make a nice page...until then, this will have to do.
Business on the CS (Custom Scrapbooks) end is kinda slow. I have a project in the works with a friend of mine that got married about six months ago. It should be a fun, different project. We will be using Black and White pictures with an Asian theme throughout. Blacks, Red, Golds, etc. So I am excited. I just bought a bunch of paper for her project...that was fun. To me, scrapbook shopping to me is probably like clothes shopping is for other girls. I LOVE deals and I LOVE when you find the perfect fit for your page!!!

This weekend. I don't think Cory and I are doing much. We have a Core Leaders meeting at Jason and Brittany's house tonight (The Youth Pastor and his wife...our good friends.) I hope that goes well. We are going to be talking about "Clarifying a Win" in the youth department. So basically setting small but specific goals for making things "happen" in the youth department! I have pretty much been bored out of my mind at work this week, so I took lots of "extra" time to read our required reading and prepare for the meeting. I typed up all my notes, came up with lots of ideas and made lots of points...I'm such a kiss-up! haha!

Saturday, I think we are hanging around the house for the cable guy. Don't even get CORY started on that whole situation. Let's just say that before it was all said and done we have a discount on each bill for $10 for our "trouble." SWEET! haha! Who doesn't like a discount!? We will probably also hang more drywall in the bathroom downstairs and head towards finally finishing that half bath project! I will be so excited then!!

Sunday will of course be church...Cory and I have H401...it's the last of 4 of our membership classes at church. I know, I know...we have each been at the church OVER 12 years...me almost 18 years haha! But these are to solidify the "salubrious" nature that our church is moving into. (Salubrious means "An environment of health and well being.) So basically, these classes are so that we are all on the "same page." At least that is how I look at them. And this is our LAST one :) yeah! :) Then I think that is all we have for the day!!! Rest and Relaxation and some of our favorite shows!! Maybe we can watch them on our new TV in the bedroom. Yep, we did it. We bought a 32" LCD flatscreen to replace the other MONSTER we had in there. Cory was supposed to be spending today hanging it, we shall see how that went when I get home from work!! :)
