Cory Writting.....
Although my wife has already updated you on the Massage, I am happy to report that my comp massage has been scheduled for March 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Thank you to my wonderful wife who stood up and confronted the Massage people. She is growing up right in front of all our eyes. Good Job honey.

I'll brag on MYSELF then!
April writing...
Since my hubby is slow and I want to brag on myself...I must notify our faithful readers that I DID indeed get Cory another massage due to his noisy first massage yesterday! I called and rather politely explained that I was "upset that I paid as much as I did for a Valentine's Day massage for my husband and he couldn't even enjoy what should have been a peaceful experience." She comped him a massage. *slyly bobbing my head with confidence* That's how I roll! :)
Moving on to bigger news! I had my sonogram today! Yes, I drove myself into Baltimore (thank you TomTom) and met with the doctor. During my sonogram he measured all my pieces parts and took note of other important aspects, i.e. the # of follicles I had. (between 15-20) Which is really good. I start my medication on Monday for a cycle of 5 days. Then we let nature takes it's course. So keep us in your prayers that we will come out successfully pregnant!!!!
It's finally Friday...and I am SUPER excited. I am not sure why, but Friday's make me think of Spring. Probably because I see the possiblity of spending Saturday working in my yard...something I am really excited about this spring. But then I walk out and get slapped in the face with the 35 degree weather...boo. That means no yard work for ANOTHER weekend, and instead it means more laundry work. Who likes that? We shall see...Saturday will also include sleeping in...always good. After that maybe Saturday will take me into some more exciting ventures...Sunday has potential too.
Talk to you all soon!!!

Cory's life...updated
Cory Writing .......
So eventually I left some things out on my last blog and I have heard my fan's requests for more, so here is your more.
The class that I am currently enrolled in is going OK. I have only had one test and I score a solid C on that test. My second test is this evening and hopefully I will do a little better on this one. When I finish this class I will be graduating this spring and I have sent in my graduation application, so I am waiting for them to do an audit and let me know if indeed I am graduating. If I graduate I will be definitely walking across the stage. I spent ten years earning this thing I want to walk that stage.
Ok so hopefully that answered all the questions of my last post..... on to today's post.
My wonderful wife bought me an hour massage for Valentine's Day. I scheduled my appointment for today, which works out well because I have a test tonight, so I am relaxed. The place where the message was is called Massage Envy.
I walked in and they took me to this seating area, where they had mood lighting and calm music playing. I had to fill out a form with my information and a little questionnaire about problem areas to give them focus points. So while I am filling this form out the mood was ruined by this guy drilling hole in the door way for a new door. I finished the form and handed it in and my Message Therapist came in and escorted me to the room. I got situated on the bed and she came back in to start my massage.
The bed was really cool because it was heated and it was at the right temperature, which was nice. The massage therapist started the massage and it felt oh so good. I don't know of too many things better than a massage. Then right in the middle of my great massage the door dude starts drilling into floor and know it sounds like he is just on the other side of my room. Annoying. Then to add to my frustration my therapist kept talking to me and asking me questions. She even made a comment about how annoying the drilling is and how they should have done it earlier in the morning or later at night. So she finished the massage and I felt very good despite the little inconveniences.
I walked out front to pay and the lady at the desk says, "How was you massage?" I said it was very nice. Then she said, "you weren't disturbed by the drilling were you?" I stated, "Yeah a little bit." Her response, "Oh I'm sorry, we had a door there and it kept hitting our customers so we decided to change it out." That is all she said, so customer service at Massage Envy isn't anything to envy. Overall my experience was ok, but not good enough to go back and spend my hard earned money, unless they want to give me a free trial and try to make up for their mistake.
We will see because my wife will be contacting them later today to give them a piece of her mind. I did get to have a nice lunch with my wife after my massage and that is always nice. I miss my lunches with my wife. When she worked closer we would do lunch at least once a week, but know she works in Columbia and I can't go to Columbia in my patrol car. Oh well that makes them more special i guess.
Well that is all for know..... I will let you know if my wife gets me another massage....

Pipe Bombs, Divorces and Massages...oh my!
I guess I should say....
April writing....
:)
Wow...thursday has prooven to be quite exciting so far! On my way to work I got a call from Mom...asking me to check with Cory to see what was going on up around my youngest sisters High School. Apparentally there were a ton of patrol cars out front and at a neighboring school. You see this week alone, they have had a pipe bomb explode in the back of a pick-up truck in the school parking lot...the next day there was a 'non-specific' threat made, so the school was on lock-down for a couple hours and then this today. Cory checked into it and apparentally there is a barricade situation (Cory could elaborate more on what that is) in the near-by neighborhood of Old Mill and so they have the school on lock-down again, I guess due to proximity of the lock-down location. Anywho...school craziness...day three. Poor Bekah (youngest sister) ehh.
Continuing on....THEN I get into work. Now, brief update without getting personal on my co-worker's behalf. A co-worker has been going through a really nasty seperation...and she has been taking it really hard, understandably so. Well, she called out yesterday, again. She has missed alot of work, due to doc appt's and misc 'seperation' related stuff...well yesterday one of the 'bosses' plainly let her know to becareful. In so many words, he let her know that her job could be in jerpardy if she wasn't more careful with her time here at work as well as getting the personal situation under control. Well, she apparentally took that the wrong way. I guess sometime in the evening (my other co-workers work 10 hour days, I only 6 hours) after I left yesterday, she called in and RESIGNED. Now, during a situation like she is in, I wouldn't think that resigning from a job you have had for 12+ years is a smart thing to do. Then again, I don't think she is thinking straight. So long story short, some things were said and apparentally 911 was called in order to try and get her some help.
Which leads me to how I found out about the situation. I came in this morning and her office was dark, so I assumed she called out again. (she is usually here long before I am in the morning) Well my phone had a Alarm call message. It said, "Alarm #11 Emergency, Ext 104" on my id screen. I hadn't seen this before so I looked in my phone instruction book and it said that that specific alarm message means that "911 was called from that extension." So I asked Stuart about it....the boss...and I was clued in to the situation. *sheeewwww* Anywho, I certainly hope that everything is ok with her. I know it is not an easy situation she is in. And it looks like we may be getting another new employee soon, so I hope for an easy transition there as well.
Cory came up to my work neck of the woods today for his Valentine's Day massage. He said it was pretty nice...but the place where he went was having a door installed...so he said there was drilling going on during his massage. So I am not very happy that I paid for a noisy massage. So, they will be hearing from me later today...boo. Then he came to my office and we went and had lunch! Yeah so nice!!
Well, that's enough for now...
OH BTW...actually I don't know if I have completely filled you all in on this...but Cory and I are really gearing up for babies...so I met with a reproductive specialist, as we are going on two years of 'trying' with no success. And well, I will be seeing him tomorrow morning for a sonogram to check out my goods...haha...and then starting some medication. This medication will hopefully help aid us in a successful pregnancy!! So we shall see. I have many butterflies, but I am VERY eager and excited as well!!
Will keep you updated! Later Gators!

It's been a long time...
Cory Writing..........
Wow it has been a long time (December) to be exact since I have blogged. I have been very very very busy.
The first thing is I re-registered for my last class for my AA degree in Criminal Justice. I was registered for the class in the Fall semester, but I had to drop the class because life just got absolutely nuts and a 2 day a week class didn't fit into life. So I have registered for the class again and it is really kicking my butt. I am studying Structure and Function of the Human Body and it is a lot of memorization. Why I have to know that my butt is technically called my gluetus maximus I don't know, but the degree God's say that I need to therefore I am learning it.
The second thing is the downstairs has come to a stand still because we decided to replace the windows in our house. We could initially only afford to replace the up stairs windows, but we will do the basement windows before the year is up. I still don't understand why glass costs so much money, but if it saves us as much as they say, it will be well worth it. I hate BGE.
The third and most exciting thing that has happened to me is I have become a full elder at my church. When Steve Hall took over as Lead Pastor at our Church he asked me to be an elder and I accepted. The first year I was a provisional Elder, where I went through some training and had to read leadership books. I made it through that year and I was commissioned as a full Elder on Sunday February 24, 2008. I am so proud to be an Elder in my Church and it is a huge responsibility.
Other than that everything is the same and now you are caught up. I hope that I will blog a little more regular in the future. I will keep you updated on my progress with this class.
Until next time..... peace, love and hair grease.

It's me...the SLACKING BLOGGER
WOW! What a slacking blogger I have been...wait WE have been. Cory hasn't blogged either!! I will have to get on him as well!!
So, let's get you all caught up on life.
As you can see, I have been on Weight Watchers, now having finished my eighth week...I am 16.4 pounds lighter and MUCH, MUCH happier! It is really very exciting to see how the body changes...and to remember that the skinny me, isn't just on the inside...it can show outside too. ALMOST time for some new clothes...and just before spring. HOW EXCITING!!
Cory and I are doing really great. Equally loving life and driving each other nuts. Olive and Pickle (our puppies, not to be confused with any summertime condiments) are getting along GREAT! I am so glad we stuck with it and kept Olive around. She is such a doll and she is totally sweet. It is also about time to get her fixed...in fact *slapping a big hot pink post-it note on her calendar* there! I reminded myself to get on that!!
For a while there Cory was speeding along well on our downstairs bathroom...but that has come to a screeching hault. Not sure if it was us waiting on more funds, more time or both! :) Hopefully that will be complete soon...with PICTURES too!
As far as BABIES go, no news for us...however a BIG congratulations to our friends Jason and Brittany on thier FIRST little bundle of joy that is due, well let's just say he/she is due sometime in September 08! (since they can't make up thier mind, right Britt?!) We do have news IN the baby area...I should be starting some medication called 'Clomid' soon. Hopefully, without all the details...it will help Cory and I get pregnant in the first few cycles...maybe even the FIRST cycle. We are staying really positive about it all, continuosly. We know that God has much better, bigger plans than we could imagine, so I am always eager to see where we go!
I am continuing down my GOALS list of 2008 that I penned down earlier this year. As mentioned, I am losing the weight I wanted to lose, and I just BOUGHT a dress pattern. (One of my other goals was to sew a dress or purse) I jumped right in and bought the DRESS pattern! Call me crazy or just plain nuts...who knows. We shall see when I try putting this bad boy together! Here's the one I chose:

I also just recently RE-SIGNED up as a Stampin-Up Demonstrator. (I think I blogged about that earlier this year!) So I am glad for that. things are going very well too!
Well, I think that about catches us up for now...I will let Cory catch you up on work, school, becoming and Elder, etc. *hint, hint*!! :) Talk to you sooner than soon!!! Adios!
