What I am up to...till 1 am

April writing...

My new obsession.

Tokbox.com

The girlies and I have been up till all hours having fun on this webcam site!

This was our first night together.

It started out innocent enough...
then...it got a little crazy...

It was so much fun! Tonight, as we speak I am chattin' with Bekah, Mom, Kaity, Mandy and Sarah!

I get very little sleep...but what else is new.

I used to stay up this late just veggin' or doing laundry.

but this....

is FAR more exciting!

*note* names and chat window's have been cut out to protect the names and privacy of those crazy girls involved! :)

IVF Update

April writing...

I will keep this short and sweet for those that are wondering. About two weeks ago I spoke with the Nurse at my RE Doc's office and it wasn't great news, but it's news. We were really excited about starting IVF at the end of this month. Well, yet again...that has been postponed.

I am over their recommended BMI. So I need to lose at least 10-15 pounds before we can start IVF. So, for me it was a huge let down. Especially seeing as how I had at one point in 2007 lost 34 pounds. I have since gained it all back. A huge letdown to myself and to the IVF plans, but I know God is in control...and even in this situation...I have lessons to learn and there is a better time to start the IVF process for us.

So our chins are up, we have new plans and are continuing to trust God...and to eat better and exercise! :)

I haven't quite nailed down a solid eating/diet plan yet, but it is in the works. I am doing some research for the best aerobic and weight training that I need, and meal planning to decrease my calorie and fat intake.

So there you are...all updated on the IVF deal. One day right?? Gotta stay positive!

I waste toilet paper.

April writing...

A friend randomly sent me an email with this article included.

It got me to thinking...I wonder if I waste toilet paper. If my consumption of this hopefully fluffy and soft bathroom paper is above average or not.

I started with breaking it down into types of toilet paper users. Let's use "TP" in reference to toilet paper from here on out.

You have your couple-three sheet users, your one-sheeters (eww), your spin-till-it-stops users, your full-arms-length users (yours truly), the use-based-on-type-of-potty-break users, and the list could literally go on.

I stopped at these because I feel the average person could fall into one or more of these categories.

Let's start with the couple-three sheet users...my thoughts...this could never be me, how do you know if you have enough? Don't you sometimes have to go back for more?

And the one-sheeters...I mean seriously...sorry for the TMI, but unless only a DROP came out...that junks gonna soak through.

The Spin-till-it-stops users...what is this the Russian roulette of potty breaks? Are you hoping that it will stop and be the exact amount you need? I imagine for, let's say #1 breaks, you have WAY too much TP doing it's job down there.

The full-arms-length users...as I mentioned I am. I agree that at times, based on the type of potty break there may be too much TP...but here's my motto, "If it's wet, don't fret, cover your hand to protect where it lands." For realz...I can't feel like anything, and I mean anything soaked through. So I literally wrap my hand in TP and get the job done.

The use-based-on-type-of-potty-break users...you truly are the most sensible, smart tp users. You simply take an extra moment to silently gauge how much TP is warranted and only take that amount. Well done.

I won't even get started on the men's shake-it-and-tuck-it-away method. Ewww.

Above all, whatever type of TP user you are...we all wash our hands?! Right? Even you "shake-it" men...I don't care if you didn't touch it or not...you A L W A Y S wash.

So let's hear it...what type of TP user are you? Do you feel like it's a waste?
Next weeks discussion...Do you load the TP so it unrolls from the top or the bottom? (heehee)

Project 365 - Week 15 & 16

April writing...

Gosh I am so far behind with this...my apologies!!!

Here's a couple weeks to tide you over a few more days...then another two weeks are coming soon!

Day 99 - July 19, 2009 Dinner alfresco...the weather had cooled and we decided to grill and enjoy it outside!

Day 100 - July 20, 2009 Napping with Tess...Uncle Cory got some tummy time with Cuppycake while she finished off her bottle.

Day 101 - July 21, 2009 Baby Possum...I drove up in our driveway to find a slightly injured little friend in there waiting. He was cute.

Day 102 - July 22, 2009 I wanna play ball Dad...every night when Cory is getting ready for work, Pickle finds his ball and plays with Cory. He looks forward to it. It's so cute to watch.

Day 103 - July 23, 2009 Cracker Barrel...after many guesses and help from Britt I finally figured out where we were going on our date...and it was so yummy!

Day 104 - July 24, 2009 Finally getting new teeth...my little car is finally in the shop getting all patched up. I was so ecstatic, especially since we fought insurance and WON!

Day 105 - July 25, 2009 Treat dispenser...Pickle loves his treat/food dispenser. In fact he loves it so much, he protects it seriously from Olive. Shortly after this shot, there was a great rumble!

Day 106 - July 26, 2009 Greasy goodness...we tried a new local dining joint and enjoyed some delish food. Cory enjoyed his all the way down his forearms!

Day 107 - July 27, 2009 Presents!...Mr. B finally got his birthday present from Auntie B and Uncle Cory. He was oh so excited!

Day 108 - July 28, 2008 At my feet...Olive was sitting with me as Dad left for work tonight. I had my camera on me, so I snapped this cute pic. She still has a tendency to look mad in all the pics. oh well.

Day 109 - July 29, 2009 Hydrangea...my little hydrangea bush is steadily growing. I can't wait to see what it becomes!

Day 110 - July 30, 2009 Paintin' Pottery...with Summerly, before she heads off to college. I painted mine brick red (or will be) and added a fork, knife and spoon. The fork nearly killed me.

Day 111 - July 31, 2009 Via's 16...Olivia asked me to do her hair for her 16th birthday party, I happily agreed. She looked AMAZING!

Day 112 - August 1, 2009
Muddy Olive...she did it again. Found water. Found mud...all messy!

Garden progress

April writing...

Well, I am pretty sure that I won't every quit bragging on all our hard work out front. Everytime I drive up to the house I just grin, cause it's SO beautiful! Especially right now with most of our plants in full bloom! I hope it's at least decent during the colder month once all my perennials shrink away for the season.

Let's take a look back...Here we are back in May 3, 2006. Shortly after we moved into our house.
Bland and boring...ehhhh.

Then you have the very front of the front yard...eww. Just...eww.

By this point I had already updated the side planter...it was in desperate need of help!!

And then we have the front planter in it's beginning stages...fresh new plants.

and as we continued down the front walkway, the new plants started blooming like crazy, the grass got greener...this only drove me to finish the whole project to enjoy!

...and speaking of blooms...the Clematis plant was sprouting and growing like crazy in April/May 2009.

Here is the front walkway planter after all the plants were planted. Now we wait for growth and blooms...May 2009.

Fast forward to August 2009 and I am beaming with pride!!!

This is my favorite part...See my Hollyhock seeds...

...and now...full grown...my beautiful Hollyhock blooms. Probably my FAVORITE part of the garden!!
