Question 1: I hang mine like the first picture, down the back.
Question 2: I'm not a waster. I am a situational chooser. How did you put it? "Use-based-on-type-of-potty-break user." That's totally me.
Question 3: My bathroom cabinet has an open shelf on the bottom. I have spare rolls there, and under the sink too. :) Never want to be in an awkward moment!!
