My Husband ROCKS Friday
It's no secret. I think my Husby rocks...here's just another little reason why.
So I would say back in mid May we decided to start working out 4 days a week, then an opportunity came about for us to try out the new EA Sports ACTIVE Wii workout for FREE...and we HOPPED on that chance! Now we are working out two days on, one day off. So about 5 days a week. We love it...and we have both really been super supportive of each other!
Cory has been behind me 100%. And not just because it would equal a skinnier wife to look at...but I believe he truly wants me to be healthier as well as making himself healthier for many more happy years to come!
Thanks baby for supporting me...and understanding that my battle with weight goes sometimes deeper than even I realize. I love you and one day...we will look HOT on a beach TOGETHER :)

I got one!!
April writing...
I officially purchased my first digital scrapbooking kit. I have been holding off for a WHILE now...but I bit the bullet and did it. I am SO excited. The best part is I can use it all over and over and over again!!! :)

Maternity Photoshoot
April writing...
I did my first ever Maternity Photoshoot with Manda-Rose at the beginning of June...it went well. I was super stressed...I wanted her pics to look amazing and for her to feel pretty. I had a TON of fun doing it...here are some shots!!!

Simple Pleausre Thursday
It seems my dear Husby has lost the will to blog...so I will jump in. My Simple Pleasure for today is falling right to sleep. Most nights it takes me a good 15-30 minutes to fall asleep. Last night...literally my head hit the pillow, lights went off and goodnight Irene.
I love it when that happens.
What's your Simple Pleasure for today?
Sew? Scrap? Digi-Scrap? Photography?
April writing...
I just don't know what I am into anymore. I mean...I know I can do different things...but I really want to be good and into just like one thing.
I love to sew.
I love to scrapbook.
I love to digi-scrapbook.
I love photography.
I mean, I guess I can do it all...but I feel creatively pulled. I know this seems silly...especially to devote an entire post to. You are probably thinking...what's the harm do them all.
But then there is the subject of time & money.
Let me show you a few thing that I love...

Let me show you a few thing that I love...
I wanna sew cute things like this....
I want to make super cute digi-pages like this...
I want to make real scrapbook pages like this...
And take pictures like this...

All of it...just screams to me...
Although, if I had to rate them in order of things I want to do...from
WANT TO DO MOST to
I see that I have room to cut some things out if I want to. Let's be honest...real paper scrapbooking takes up alot of space...and I think in the long run, it's probably the most expensive of the scrapbooking hobbies. But then...it's done and genuine and real and you can hold it in your hand and look at it whenever you want to.
Then there is digi-scrapping...I can literally whip out 20 digi-pages for ever 5 real-pages. Most of the supplies I get for FREE, but there are some GREAT kits (like the ones over HERE) that cost $$...however I pay $14.95 for a kit that I can use over and over and over again...and never run out of it. Then, when you are all done...your digi-pages live on the computer...I can print them, but that's where the bigger cost comes in. I could print at home and keep them that way...that is an idea...
So it seems to me that digi-scrapping is the way to go. Now...do I sell off all my scrapbooking supplies??? Or sell of half and keep some essentials for later use??
See??!! Is it just us simple-minded people who get caught up in problems like this??
Then there is sewing and photography. I will probably always do both...especially photography. I would love to better myself...possibly take some classes, get a nicer camera, etc. With sewing, there are always little projects I can do...in fact I need to get my butt into gear and make a couple for the upcoming baby shower this weekend...eeek!!! (how did I let that sneak up on me?!?)
I digress.
I guess I will stick with doing digi-scrapping...sell of (all/half/some...ehhh) of my real scrapbooking supplies, continue taking pictures and looking for free ways online to better my skills, and continue to sew little projects that come my way.
No need to PICK right?? Just do as I creatively see fit.

EA Sports Active
April writing...
So on June 1st, Cory and I started doing the EA Sports Active 30-Day Challenge, thanks to Terri making me her workout buddy...so we could try it for FREE!!!
Our review....
IT'S AWESOME!!!
Seriously. I love it. I mean, I actually look forward to working out...*gasp* I know! It's crazy really! I mean, today is a day of rest for me technically...but tonight I plan on working out my arms (while making up for two missed workout days from my surgery recovery.) And. I. Am. Actually. Excited.
Here's a little more about the 30-Day Challenge
It's awesome. Cory and I have a plan too...ours is to do 30 days on Easy Level, 30 days on Medium, then 30 days on Hard. Then we will mix it up and create our own workouts...which is another great feature I love. (For example tonight, I will create my own upper body workout with a little cardio mixed in.)
All in all...both Cory and I are super pleased...I mean, we would have even PAID for it! (but thanks to Terri for getting us a free copy to try!) Get your copy today...you don't have to have a Wii Balance Board (although you can use it with this workout if you wish.) You just need a Wii, and at least one controller and nunchuk. Everything else is provided!
Here's some additional motivation...since starting it on June 1st...I have already lost 4 pounds!! (in conjunction with a healthier diet and less soda!)
So?? What are you waiting for....go now and get it!

Have I lost it? No?!?! It can't be?!!? Does anyone still READ this??? I mean like NO ONE comments (wink, wink!)
I just can't get behind my blog personality anymore...maybe I am just drained...but I feel like I have said this before. Oh well. Here's to random:
Last night's sunset was ahhhh-mazing. You will see a pic of that in next weeks 365 post...(which reminds me, I need to add last weeks 365 post...gotcha.)
I am healing quite nicely from my minor surgery, Cory is healing from the fact that he is now allergic to Penicillin. So...we are doing fine. *ha* Cory and I have also been taking part in the EA Sports Active 30-Day Challenge...need to do another post on that...gotcha! (See I guess if I think hard enough I can blog...need to put some pep in my bloggin' step!!!)
My grandpa is in town...what a funny dude...I heard something about him saying he was going to 'drop a douche'...pretty sure he meant 'duce' but even THAT'S still funny!!! He is looking more frail...but he has made it to (correct me if I am wrong Ma) 93?? That's saying something!!! Aunt Zelma was in town for a couple days and Aunt Sylvia has been with us over a week...although I think she headed out today, for her Campmeeting.
Gosh, so much...Bekah graduated...Kyle and Sarah spent some time in the hospital...well Kyle was the patient, but Sarah was by his side. (Read more about that on her Blog)
Now it's just onto the busy Summer schedule. Me personally, I am looking forward to some downtime...the pool...our vacation to Myrtle Beach (never been!)...and starting our IVF therapies.
Alot going on...and a whole 'lotta nothing at the same time!! Crazy how that works ehhh? I promise to do better...a blog a day for the next 7 days...think I can do it?? And I will make them worth reading too...promise. :P

My Husband Rocks Friday
April writing...
...for some reason I can't find the MHR logo...but I will blog anyways!
So my Husby rocks for taking SUCH good care of me today!
I had my Hysteroscopy today. We had to head into Rockville at about 10am this morning (about an hour away.) So, 20 minutes or so into our ride, Cory looks at me and says, "Am I turning red?" I look over to him and he is like sunburn red.
He was like breaking out in this little red bumps and his eye was super bloodshot. Immediately I wasn't nervous anymore and went into 'nurse' mode...and I am not even a NURSE!!

(These were all over him...and they kept multiplying!)

(even some old scars were popping up...perfectly WHITE!)
I got on the phone with our Doctor's office to let them know what was happening. They told us that he could take some Benadryl and that he would be ok. So we pulled over and got some for him...and boy did it help. Within 15 minutes he was feeling MUCH better!
So we make it to the Surgery Center and I get all prepped...I felt great...wasn't really nervous at all!!

(Here's what his color SHOULD look like...still wintry pale...although he will soon be TAN...stinking Cali boy! Just not ALLERGIC REACTION RED!!! haha!)

(I have never felt sexier!)

(and here I am post-op...flying high baby!)

Then, I came out of surgery...and I was STARVING. So they gave me some Ritz crackers...and uh, seriously. I have. never. had. such. good. crackers. They were amazing! Seriously. I kept telling Cory how GREAT they were...and then I got all giggly...like really giggly. haha! Cory was telling me that I needed to calm down or I was gonna be hurting haha. I blame it on the anesthesia...but it was a good laugh.
(and here I am post-op...flying high baby!)
So, as I mentioned earlier...Cory took care of me all day! Even after his own little adventure!!! Thanks baby for sticking with me during all this...I am sure we will be handsomely rewarded for our efforts VERY soon!
I LOVE YOU!!! (stay away from the penicillin!!)

polyps and bloating...STAT
April writing...
So tomorrow...I'm going under. I am having a Hysteroscopy. I am sure you are asking? What is that?! Well...so did I. haha! I got my answers from the Doc...but here are a few links to fill you in on the whaaaa?
http://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction/guide/hysteroscopy
http://www.gynalternatives.com/hsc.htm
http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/surgery/a/hysteroscopyqa.htm
So the long and short of it, is they are going to go in and take a look around my Uterus. We already know there are two relatively small polyps (hopefully no more) and they will be removing said polyps during this procedure.
The idea is that we are creating a better, more friendly environment for the embryos, when we start doing IVF therapies. Since we have recently found out that my tubes are blocked...either by scar tissue or even possibly by these polyps, we know that our next option is IVF.
I recovered pretty well from my Laparoscopy done a little over a year and half ago...so I am not worried about this procedure. I was uncomfy and I had some lovely bloating, but I have a great nurse in my dear Husby. So, hopefully I will be up and walking around by Saturday evening for Bekah's High School Graduation ceremony!!
We did find out yesterday that insurance DOES NOT cover freezing any leftover embryos, so we have some talking and decisions to make. Do we take out less eggs, only fertilize so many eggs, etc??
So, keep us in your prayers and I will update you on my recovery and the surgery probably Saturday at some point, probably no earlier!
You know what they say don't get drugged and blog. ;)

Project 365 - Week 7
April writing...
Better late, than never ehh? Sorry, it was a BUSY weekend and my camera broke :) But it's all good now! Enjoy!
Better late, than never ehh? Sorry, it was a BUSY weekend and my camera broke :) But it's all good now! Enjoy!

Day 43 - May 24th, 2009 A quick bite...I was headed to the movies with J&B and the Baker Newlyweds, but Cory couldn't go, so he met up before for a quick bite.

Day 44 - May 25th, 2009 Memorial Day...a fav pic of the day. This was right after a big crack of thunder that scared off the majority of the guest indoors out of the storm. They were laughing at our normally slow Grandpa's reaction time!!
Day 45 - May 26th, 2009 What are you doing...Pickle doesn't quite get the whole working out in the middle of the livingroom thing we have going on.

Day 46 - May 27th, 2009 Daddy don't go...The pups sure do hate it when Cory goes to work. Really makes a guy feel great!

Day 47- May 28th, 2009 Favorite Spot...he always ends up on the short couch. You think it would be my spot.

I had a dream
April writing...
Last night...I dreamt that the government bought out Wells Fargo and paid off all debt associated with the company in order to stimulate the economy. Thus paying off our mortgage.
So we took our mtg payment and then paid off other debt with it...within months we were debt free.
Hmmm.
Come on Obama...I think it's a GREAT idea :)

it's midnight
April writing...
Pardon me for stating the obvious. Why is it that I like to stay up so late?? I mean this is rather early for me...but still?
I love the nightlife...haha, I could start singing...but I will spare you the lame song choice. I just seem more alive at night, always have. It's funny because it is sadly the opposite anytime before 10am.
I usually grunt at Cory in the mornings when he gets home from work, if I make any sound at all...I don't tend to even want to GET out of bed until at least 9 am...that's better than the past...it used to be more like 10 or 10:30 am...It's always a really quiet ride to work, granted I ride to work by myself, and it may be odd to talk anyways, seeing as how I am alone...but I digress.
Are you a morning or night person? Have you always been this way?
I have always been a night person. Call it my family's late nights at church that trained me up this way...but it's just how I work. I even find that lately I seem to function just fine for 6-7 hours of sleep. Although the older I get, that harder that is...boo.
It's just interesting to me...why we are the way we are.
Then again...it's late...and I am probably just rambling. :)

April writing...
It's coming...the Summer calendar is starting to fill up...let's see what we have going on SO FAR:
But I am sure that will change...soon.
What kinds of craziness do you have going on this Summer?

What kinds of craziness do you have going on this Summer?
Did you watch it?
Did you watch it? The Season Premier last night???
What were your thoughts?
To me...it was awkward and depressing and sad.
My one main point...when asked "where they were now." They didn't know?!
DO THEY NOT TALK? You are supposed to be a Christian couple...I know it's been rough, but you can't fix what you don't even TRY to work through? Why aren't you TALKING???
Ugh...
So yeah...your thoughts??
Oh...it's NOT Monday?!
April writing...
I am terribly sleepy today. It's like one of those days were I am literally fighting to keep my eyes open at my desk. My only saving grace is the soda I am allowing myself to have and the window being open...to ensure that the cold air keeps a pep in my step.
I really have to start going to bed BEFORE midnight. I try...but then I hit my second wind at like 11:45 and I am up till 1 or 1:30 am. I am usually fine in the mornings, but this is going to catch up to me quickly. I need more sleep.
Challenge - Close my EYES before midnight tonight (and keep them closed...heehee)
I am super nervous about the Murder Mystery this weekend. I am sure the kiddos are going to do their best, but I am a mess. I felt the same last year and they WOWED me...this year, they need to wow me in TWO shows!!! At our last practice, we didn't get full advantage of our time, because we had to take time to make sure the sound was in working order, which is very important. So I hope they bring their "A" game this weekend. Either way, it should be fun and I hope each one of the students enjoys themselves!!
In other news...(I dunno why I love to say that...?) we finished our front planter project!!! It looks amazing! I absolutely LOVE it. I think it just pops the front of the house!! Whenever the rain slows down I will get out there and actually plant my Hydrangea bushes...and soon I will be picking up an already matured Hydrangea bush from my sister's backyard. (THANKS!) Now we need to buckle down again and prepare for out next outdoor job...the gutter and soffit replacement. Yeah...I hear ya. Not nearly as exciting as the planter project!! But it is totally a necessary project. Our gutters are rough.
Sometimes a part of my wishes we could fast forward all the work we need to do on the house, just so I can see the finished product...but then I think. We won't ever be DONE. Not really at least. See here...let me run down the general list of things we need/want to do: (in no particular order)
$$ = $300-$700
$$$ = $800-$1200
$$$$ = $1300-$2500
$$$$$=$2600-$5000
I am sure there is more...but that's all I can come up with on the top of my head.
I have been scouring the Internet...for ideas on how to do any of these jobs cheaper or on our own. That is really where you save your money!! I am excited to see how our house changes in the next year. We have done alot since this time last year...(finished half bath in basement, re-did full bath upstairs, did 'Linen' painting technique in Dining Room and added front planters.
There is definitely a great sense of accomplishment in finishing a job, especially one you do yourself! I am very proud of how hard Cory and I worked on the planters...and a BIG thanks to all that helped us along the way with advice, labor or just with compliments. That drove us to finish the job!
We will see what's next!!

Project 365 - Week 6
Day 37 - May 18, 2009 Lost ball...Jeffrey and Mandy came over for extra practice and dinner...during a little ball time with the dogs, Jeffrey lost the ball over the fence. They look like creepers climbing our back fence!

Day 38 - May 19th, 2009 A typical tv night...in an effort to get Cory caught up on some of our DVR'ed shows. I sat down to watch TV with him...just another typical night in our house. boring. :)

Day 39 - May 20th, 2009 Simplicity...today was my birthday. And I felt that this pic best suited the simplicity of the day. Day off from work, Presents, Lunch with Husby, Play time with the dogs and a good nap. Sweetness.
